Broncos not conforming to Seahawks’ plan just yet

October 1st, 2009 at Thu, 1st, 2009 at 11:20 am by Adam McFadden

Things went from ugly to uglier this offseason in Denver, as the Broncos traded a young franchise quarterback in Jay Cutler and scuffled with a young, elite wide receiver in Brandon Marshall.
While all of this happened, Seahawks fans watched from afar and giggled, knowing their team held the Broncos’ first-round draft pick in 2010. With such a messy offseason this team would certainly perform poorly enough to give Seattle another top-10 pick next year, right?
Well, no. Not so far anyway. Thanks in small part to a miracle catch in Week 1 and in large part to an improved defense, Denver is off to a 3-0 start.
Don’t worry too much yet because the Broncos have a murderous schedule ahead: Oct. 4 vs. Dallas, Oct. 11 vs. New Englad, Oct. 19 at San Diego, Nov. 1 at Baltimore and Nov. 9 vs. Pittsburgh.
