Another look at Seattle’s fantasy prospects, this time from Yahoo! Sports
July 13th, 2010 at 1:14 pm by Adam McFaddenYahoo! Sports takes a crack at profiling the Seahawks’ fantasy football prospects in the latest entry of the Juggernaut Index, a series counting down NFL teams from most futile to most productive.
Seattle cracks the list at No. 27, topping the Rams, Raiders, Bills, Browns and Buccaneers.
Writer Andy Behrens starts the analysis off with the sobering fact that the Yahoo! analysts don’t think a single Seattle skill player should be starting in a 10-team league. Of course, with a new offense, things can change quickly.

July 7th, 2010 at 12:51 pm by Adam McFaddenChris Johnson, a.k.a. WeeHawk, sent me a link about the new WeeHawk theme song “WeeHawk Thunder.”
The Seahawks’ Blue Thunder drumline is featured on the song, and it was recorded at the famous London Bridge Studio in Seattle.
The video is definite watch (and song a definite listen) if you’re a Seahawks fan.
Johnson was one of the Seahawks superfans profiled in last year’s Seahawks special section.
Johnson also tweaked WeeHawk’s credo:
Remember when the Seahawks were in danger of leaving?
July 7th, 2010 at 10:34 am by Adam McFaddenIt seems crazy with the strength of the 12th Man now, but Field Gulls has an interesting reminder of how close the Seahawks were to leaving Seattle back in the 90’s. It’s a good read.
Referendum Bill 48, which allowed financed a new stadium passed 51.1 percent to 48.9 percent.
The Fifth Down Blog previews the Seahawks
July 2nd, 2010 at 1:07 pm by Adam McFaddenThe New York Times’ The Fifth Down Blog previewed the Seahawks Friday.
Author Andy Benoit singled out Seattle’s refusal to fully rebuild and hiring of Pete Carroll as reasons the team could struggle in 2010.
Here’s Benoit’s bottom line: “The Seahawks have made a few strides to correct their myriad weaknesses, but there’s still plenty to do. An improved run game would make the offense serviceable, but it’ll take more than that to overcome the feeble pass defense.”
He predicts the Seahawks will finish third in the NFC West.
