Father Gary Zender of the St. Anthony Parish holds a radish from the school's new garden and greenhouse.
I went to the blessing ceremony for St. Anthony School’s new greenhouse.
This photo I took I found particularly beautiful, and I thought I’d give a little preview before I write up the story for tomorrow.
The project was completed much to the hard work of first-grade teacher Jan Seely, who plucked the radish from a garden bed before the ceremony started.
The school will use the garden to teach children about growing vegetables and keeping a garden. The vegetables themselves will be distributed through the school’s food bank.
